Description
1964 Gibson RB-250 (FON 163626) owned by Roni Stoneman.
Any of us of the “Hee Haw” generation know Roni Stoneman. For me, she was probably one of the first banjoists I ever remember seeing other than Grandpa Jones and Roy Clark. Her energy, silliness, and incredible musicianship always stood out. She obviously had a long and noted career with the Stoneman Family prior to Hee Haw, but for many, she was an entry way into banjo playing.
If anyone has good photos of Roni’s RB-250, please send them to the site owner and I’ll post. This is a placeholder of sorts for one of the most well-known of Gibson bowtie players.
