Gibson RB-250 from 1965, a solid and dependable five string companion. Black painted wooden rim assembly, nickel-plated metal parts (one piece flange, tension hoop, armrest…tailpiece is chrome); archtop tonering; tarnish and wear is present on the metal parts particularly on flange and exterior of tonering; full thickness rim. Resonator features mahogany exterior wall, with maple back in a sunburst finish; bound on either edge, two concentric rings on back; buckle rash, cosmetic wear, and big binding chip on top egde. 26-1/4″ five piece maple neck w/ 1-1/4″ nut width; ebony fingerboard w/ bowtie inlay pattern; bound four point peghead overlay w/ original “Firebird” tuners, as well as factory Keith-style tuners. Finish checking is present throughout, as well as some wear on back of neck; 2x spikes installed and some leftover holes from past sliding capos; original frets with only very light wear.
