Here are photos taken this AM of my very first Gibson banjo. I got it for Christmas in 1962. Banjo is FON 91516. I have been the only owner and it’s as original as it can be. I don’t play it anymore, but it served me well in my younger days! I have the truss rod cover somewhere in my house, but for now, its whereabouts are a mystery!
Butch clarifies the scratching he did in the resonator:
It’s “Dec 21, 1962” – That was when I got it for Christmas that year.
