Description
1959 Gibson TB-250 Deluxe tenor banjo with FON of 9-549-27. This banjo is an incredible deluxe version of the TB-250 which is a standard TB-250 4-hole archtop pot, but a neck that is close to being an RB-500 (as it has the flying eagle double cut headstock-but with post-war Gibson logo-and bowtie inlays). Neck is three piece curly maple with the cherry sunburst finish seen on Gibson instruments in the late 50’s/early 60s. It came from the original owner, so this is as it was ordered. This is from Pure Banjo:
A superb 1959 Gibson TB250 Bowtie (Deluxe) 19 fret tenor banjo. This beauty came from the original owner who lives in South Africa and has decided to reduce his collection of fine instruments. It has just arrived with me and to be honest it needs little more than a polish. It is all original including the Gibson pink lined hardshell case.
