Vintage 1959 Gibson Mastertone RB-250 “Bowtie” 5-String banjo in Very Good – Excellent Condition. Serial Number: 9-549-3 Made in Kalamazoo, MI, USA. This gorgeous banjo has been pampered since the day the owner brought it home. It is 100% original except for the 2 new D-tuners and comes with the original Gibson case. 4 hole tone ring classic. Sounds tremendous and plays like a dream. No cracks, breaks or delaminations. Evidently there was another set of D-tuners on the peghead at some point but it has been professionally restored to original condition. Some case wear on the headstock and light play wear on the fretboard and frets. Stunning example – hard to believe this banjo is 52 years old.
