1959 Gibson RB-250 banjo with FON 9-549-11. From classified at Banjo Hangout. Text as as follows:
Serial number is 9-549-11 dating it to 1959.
This is the nicest original condition bow-tie I have ever seen or had in my shop!
Fingerboard is perfect with no divots, frets in good condition, metal is just pristene……..
Original friction peg is in hard-shell case along with the original Elton tailpiece.
Note (prewar presto tailpiece does not go with banjo).
Has the original pink lined Lifton Case and it is in excellent condition as banjo.
I will have pics of the case shortly to add to this classified.
Banjo has a pre epa head on it.
This is a 4 hole arch top ring with full thickness 3 ply chocolate brown rim.
The earlier bowtie Gibsons have the smaller best playing and feeling necks as this one does.
