Description

1954 to 1959 Gibson RB-250 5-string banjo with unknown FON.  This banjo was the banjo that Billy Ray Latham played with the Kentucky Colonels in the early 1960s and is featured on the cover of Appalachian Swing! and when appearing as the Country Boys on the Andy Griffith Show.  When I think classic photos of Gibson bowties, I automatically think of Billy Ray on the cover of Appalachian Swing!  if anyone knows the FON and whereabouts of the banjo, I would be appreciative.

This RB-250, because of the bowtie inlays after the Mastertone block, means it has to be an RB-250 made between 1954 and 1959.  No other information known at this time.
